Organizing in Solidarity at Stanford: Past & Present
Organizing in Solidarity at Stanford: Past & Present is a talks & classes event at Asian American Activities Center in Palo Alto on Tuesday, October 27 at 6:00 PM.
About this event
The A3C, Asian American Studies, Okada, etc… Did you know these were all established by student activism? The Rainbow Coalition, a multiracial advocacy coalition in the 1980s, demanded these resources for communities of color. Come join us for a teach-in and conversation with student organizers from Stanford Asian American Action Committee, League of Filipino Students, and Stanford Students for Justice in Palestine to reflect on the legacy of student activism and multiracial solidarity at Stanford and what lessons are to be learned from it! Food will be provided.
